The High School View staff mourns the passing of English teacher Dan “Shark” Sharkovitz, who retired from MVRHS in 2017 after 37 years in the classroom. In addition to serving as the English Department Chair, advising the chess club, and coaching baseball for portions of his tenure at MVRHS, Shark was the adviser of The High School View for over 25 years. “Poem for Dan” was written by former MVRHS English teacher and guidance counselor Jeff Agnoli, who was a longtime colleague of Dan Sharkovitz.
